IMPORTANT INFO
TENT ONLY SITE
We are a standard tent only site so we’re sorry, but we cannot welcome car tents, caravans, motorhomes or campervans.
No cars can be parked alongside pitched tents at any time. Cars must be parked in the designated parking area and wheelbarrows are provided to you for transferring your luggage to your tent.
We encourage you to select the perfect pitch spot but please ensure your tent is at least 6m from any other tent once it’s erected.

DOGS
Dogs and their well-behaved owners are warmly welcomed when a few easy rules are followed:
-
Please always clear up after your dog immediately and use the bin at the bottom of the track
-
Whilst on our campsite, always keep your dog on a lead, including on the track leading to our site, for their own safety due to unfenced clifftops and neighbouring livestock.
-
Please ensure your dog is always under control whilst visiting the rest of the island. We are fortunate to have free roaming sheep, goats, cattle and chickens across the island which can be easily worried by an inquisitive canine.
GROUP BOOKINGS
We only accept a maximum of four families for group family bookings and groups with a maximum of 6 adults. Sorry no hen or stag parties under any circumstances.

ARRIVAL TIMES
Tents: Between 2pm and 8pm, unless otherwise agreed with us in advance.
Bell tent: After 3pm.

DEPARTURE TIMES
Tents: By 1pm, unless otherwise agreed with us in advance.
Bell tent: By 11am.

RECYCLING AND RUBBISH
On site, we provide recycling bins and compost bins for leftover food for your use. All other rubbish must be bagged and taken with you.

ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
Our local environment is fragile, so we provide eco-friendly washing up liquid, handwash and shower gel – please only use these products to help us protect our eco-system.

NEIGHBOURS
In true working croft style, you are likely to be sharing our beautiful space with a small number of sheep. Neighbouring crofts also have chickens, sheep and cattle.

PARTIES AND QUIET TIME
If you want to party, we’re sorry but we are not the place for you! We love chatting and laughter but by 10pm we ask you to be considerate of noise levels. By 10.30pm our campsite must be completely quiet until 7.30am and would politely ask that everyone, including children and dogs, always adhere to this. From experience, due to the nature of our peaceful location, sounds are amplified at night so please always be courteous to our neighbours.

KEEP IT DARK
So all of our guests have the best opportunity to experience our magnificent dark skies, we have limited solar powered lighting on site so don’t forget to pack a torch or two and some spare batteries.

LEAVE IT BETTER
We are passionate about maintaining and improving our precious island and delicate ecosystem so urge all guests to support us by using water sparingly and clearing up after themselves. Also, to adopt our mantra of ‘leave it better’ by picking up any bits of litter you come across, supporting conservation efforts, and giving back locally to support our community.

WEATHER
The position of our campsite provides spectacular views and vistas but can also mean at times, we are exposed to the elements and the wonders of the great Scottish weather! Please make sure you are prepared by checking local weather forecasts ahead of your visit as well as ensuring you pack suitable clothing and footwear.

We reserve the right to close our campsite at short notice for safety reasons.
